The original owner took amazing care of it- the roof was impeccable. Unfortunately, my neighbor lived in the camper for 6 months and moved it around his brother's yard several times. In the process he busted the gray water tank on a rock, tore out a stack pipe and moved the camper while still plugged into the electric. :( He also decided to paint part of the inside with black trim and doodled on the kitchen backsplash with white. </div><div><br /></div><div>Only 1 exterior light worked on the entire camper. It took two days for me to figure out how the light circuits was configured, but once I did--I was rocking and rolling right through them! She looks so much better with clean, functioning lights! </div><div><br /></div><div>The front door........ uggh. It was a horrible mess. My husband and I rebuilt the door and it looks amazing. Definitely a project I never want to do again for this camper. I had rebuilt a door for my 66 and it was so much easier than this one! (Exterior of door is shower stall lining Home Depot) </div><div><br /></div><div>Typical for Sunline's the front door had leaked and rotted the floor; luckily it was all recent and had not gone past the door. The hatches had never been flipped so the gaps in the hatches allowed water in, I had to replace the rotted floor there also. The hot water heater was leaking and also damaged the floor it was sitting on. </div><div><br /></div><div>None of the walls had any moisture (moisture meter) and they were all solid on the ice pic test! When I removed the broken ceiling vent cover I was pleased to see absolutely no water had ever come either of the two vents (kitchen & bathroom). </div><div><br /></div><div>I removed the hot water heater and found a hatch online that I could put in it's place. I had to modify the hole slightly. The new hatch will house and A/C unit that can be pulled out to use and pushed back in when not in use. I bought a small A/C that fits perfect. </div><div><br /></div><div>After tearing out all of the wet floor at the door, hatch, water heater- I built boxes out of wood and sister joiced them together with the existing wood. Prior to building my boxes I hardened the wood with a wood hardener product. Luckily the damage was minimal since the walls, windows, and ceiling had never leaked and it was easily repaired. </div><div>All of the plumbing and propane lines were removed. A new propane line directly to the stove was installed and a new water intake was installed directly to the sink. Having one direct line to the sink means not having to worry about water damage in the rest of the camper. </div><div><br /></div><div>Since I could not remove the paint from the black painted cabinets, the decision was made to paint the camper. I did take a video before painting showing every inch of the amazing ceiling to show the roof had never leaked. People on the internet always warn about buying painted campers saying that they are "hiding" something... well NO, not everyone is hiding something. Sometimes you have to paint because the previous owner screwed up the walls! </div><div><br /></div><div>The shower/toilet were removed and I built a toilet stoop that I laminated to match the kitchen counter and table that I made. I used yellow penny tiles for the floor ( I still have to trim out the camper). I bought a Thetford Curve and it is an amazing porta potti. Flushing toilet action and no smell! Very easy to use. </div><div><br /></div><div>At this point I installed the new flooring- not fun. The snap-lock tongue and groove is not the easiest to use because when you get to the back wall you have no way to snap it in. </div><div><br /></div><div>The kitchen counter top was 3 pieces which I made into one counter top out of 3/4 inch wood and covered with yellow boomerang laminate. The table was pressed board and had been dropped at some point causing the corners to curl up. I used the table as a template and cut my own out of 3/4 wood and laminated to match. The silver edge trim is gorgeous(Home Depot)! I am still working on finishing the edge trim! The backsplash is the same gorgeous yellow penny tiles (Floor & Tile Direct) with flexible grout. </div><div><br /></div><div>All the hatches, vents, awning rails, etc. have new butyl, I scraped and sealed the roof (never doing that again - I will pay someone gladly as it is too hard on my arthritis) </div><div><br /></div><div>The inside is so bright and cheery, I do prefer the original wood, but I had to go with the flow for this camper! </div><div><br /></div><div>She is a great camper with a TON of storage. We camped for 5 days a few weeks ago and had a ton of extra space. I did not take the 'Bunks' out as many do to put knick knacks on display because we used them. We stored our pillows, blankets, duffle bags, camera etc out of site on those shelves. I say take a camper out and use it before you make a choice that might alter the usability! </div><div><br /></div><div>Still to do: </div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Awning (oh it is gorgeous too! check back)</li><li>Have bumper fabricated</li><li>Have spot on front hitch welded</li><li>Find hubcaps or moons</li><li>Build a screen door (this weekend)</li><li>Put door interior threshold back in place</li><li>Trim out the inside</li><li>finish the pull out bed portion for the banquette bed</li><li>........ put her up for sale? </li></ul><div>Thanks for reading! </div></div><div><br /></div><div>** I am a woman that uses power tools! My husband helped on some of the projects.. but 90% of the work was done by me. </div><div><ul style="text-align: left;"><li>Propane line professionally installed and tested</li><li>Electric terminated to breaker and inverter by professional </li></ul></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>JJewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11566012097158268720noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014721514225898.post-83438656046985545752017-12-11T12:02:00.000-05:002017-12-11T12:02:07.550-05:00Marvelous Marlon Update Our beautiful puppy is now 22 weeks old, very healthy. We had amazing weather, especially for this time of the year. Shorts and T-shirts with a beautiful harvest moon and a warm breeze at night. <br />
<br />
Unfortunately our little hurricane rescue Chihuahua passed away from a brain tumor on September 5th and I was dreading going camping without her. Thankfully a beautiful blessing came into my life the day I was leaving for the camping trip. I delayed leaving waiting for my daughter--who drove all night to pick him up in PA and bring him home (thank you Baby!), made it to the house with him. He was covered in urine and dirty, but went straight into the tub without a single fuss! <br />

This has been a great First Year! This time we ventured to Copake, NY from Rhode Island. We took the back roads and the scenery was AMAZING! Very relaxing easy ride. We left home at 6 am to assure we would beat the morning rush hour on Route 95, we exited the highway in CT at exit 69. <br />
This was the first rally for Copake, NY and Cathy Reinard did a great job! The bathrooms were spotless, the staff was friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They are already booking for next year and the slots are filling up very fast! Yes, we already booked and are so excited to go back. The towns surrounding are picturesque. You can go "junking," "antiquing," and to "tag sales" in NY, CT, or MA all in one day. Several little diners are near the campground and VERY reasonably priced. We ate breakfast twice at Dad's Diner. A little farm has fresh made Ice-Cream about 3 miles from the campground--and it was D-lish!<br />
The Vintage Campers were on display Saturday from 1-3:30 and we had such a great turnout! It was a lot of fun to entertain the people from the "Big Rigs," they were all so kind and I received great feedback for my hard work! Prizes were awarded by vote for 1st, 2nd & 3rd. JJ's Cosmic Star -- <i>Star </i>was decked out in her Elephants this trip. <br />

Who doesn't love an Airstream? We had several, very different themes. I just love the sleek body of the airstream. The first one has a Black/White Coffee Theme. They might be naming him <i>Joe</i> <br />

Both of the campers below are painted on the inside. I look at these and want to run home and paint the inside of Star to be so bright and fresh.... I am sooooooo torn between painting and freshening up the wood with Shellac. I decided at the beginning of my Reno to give myself a year or so to really think about it.<br />
<br />
Many of us are in our first year Vintage Camping, and for Nicole Christensen, this was her first Rally! She is an awesome blogger at http://www.farmgirlbloggers.com - Check her out ! This little beauty is a Nomad 1966 and her camper name was still pending. I must have missed the inside pics. <br />

I locked my keys in Star last night!! I couldn't remember if we had gotten two keys or one with the new lockset, hubby said one. I thought "oh shit" I need to pack for the Rally and finish making the curtains and redo the bed and on and on... I looked for quite a while for the keys while two ladies D & S were looking at Moon. <br />
After they left I decided to look for a spare and Thank you God!! There was a spare key. I saw the tag with my name on it and immediately knew it had to be Star's! I opened her up and sure enough under the cushions and pile of crap on the table the keys were there. I will make 2 more copies tonight and put one in each of the vehicles glove boxes for emergencies! An extra key at home when you are at a campground will not help. :) <br />

Moon-- Happy Face/Sad Face <br />
After a little less than a month Moon will be leaving us. But the only good part is the new owner is going to keep doing the reno and would like some help! So I will still get to play and watch the transformation! D & S are super nice ladies and I know they will have a blast on their reno journey! Hubby will deliver him Wednesday when he gets home from Pittsburgh. <br />
I know it is for the best, I really can't work on three at a time. I keep dividing my time and that just means no one project is getting finished but I saw the most opportunity for customization and change in Moon compared to the other smaller units. <br />
<br />
Just like that my solar system got a little smaller. I doubt there will be another "Moon" for a while. Unless I take out a loan to buy that Trolley!! (My dream camper!)<br />
<br />
<br />JJewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11566012097158268720noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014721514225898.post-6482896006049320012017-08-02T15:56:00.001-04:002017-08-02T15:56:25.743-04:00Sunny Side of Life 7-30-2017 Wow-- it seems CrAzY to me that I have gone from one to THREE campers. But I love each and every one of them.<br />
This is Sunny......he was a STEAL! Sometimes things happen at the right time and you just happen to be there. <br />
We had been watching this little camper for a while. As a matter of fact had this camper been for sale before Moon, we never would have bought Moon because the point was to have one camper with a bathroom for when Bernie went camping. This is why he wants to sell Moon -- because we can only use One camper at a time.... yeah, I get that. <br />
<br />
I did not get pictures of the inside before we tore out the "modifications" the second owner made to him. But I did get some after we pulled it out. The original owner bought him in 1982 and owned him up until Jan 2017 when the second owner bought him. He lived in the camper at his brother's house (right down the road from me) for 6 months. Since he was living in the camper he tore out the back gaucho to make it a larger table and used the dinette for his bed. ** Luckily he kept the piece he cut out that matches the other side!! Woot Woot. <br />
<br />
The outside is in great shape except......... YUP ........ another broken jack!! Again we had to use the spare tire jack to get it on the car. LOL. It is just my luck. He has a chunk out of his hitch that needs soldered, 4 broken lights, a busted toilet pipe and a little bit of water damage at the front door. It looks like he pulled away from the electric still plugged in and ripped the plug holder and part of the aluminum. Next year I will take off the bottom piece of aluminum and then remove the busted piece and replace with new. <br />
Ready for a shocker! ALL of the cushions are in Excellent shape! WOW. The original owner took excellent care of them and he did not use them so he stored them in his brothers basement. No smell, no stains and they all have zippers to remove the covers. They will all be going to the laundromat this weekend. <br />
I set off a bug bomb (just in case) did not see anything in it at all. And tonight will go home and continue cleaning up. Since mostly cosmetic-- and a small rebuild for the back gaucho will hopefully be done in a few weeks!<br />
He was using the shower daily and the seals look great on the walls. No water damage can be seen on the floor, and no soft or soggy spots (other than 3 inches by front door probably from sink). He showed us all of the systems were working-- sink, shower, heater, stove. The toilet was pulled out because the pipe broke. We are going to fix the pipe for the toilet and he has the toilet still, we are picking that up today. Going to soak it in a trashcan of bleach water! So Exciting!! Follow Sunny's makeover! I need to decide whether to keep original or glam him up. <br />

My favorite earrings are my Moon & Stars. I guess the Solar System was just begging me to pick up another Camper.... or Two.<br />
<br />
We have a Trio: <br />
On the Left in the Garage: Jupiter's 33rd Moon (Moon)<br />
In the Middle we have: Sunny Side of Life (Sunny)<br />
On the Right we have : J's Cosmic Star (Star)<br />
<br />

<br />
Moon is a complete tear down/ rebuild and will be out of commission for a long time. I doubt I will get my half of the garage back any time in the next year!<br />
<br />
<br />JJewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11566012097158268720noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014721514225898.post-16668787694394981822017-08-02T15:30:00.001-04:002017-08-02T15:58:00.853-04:00My Husband found this Prowler I came home from work and my husband told me to get into the car we were going to go look at "something." He proudly showed me his "find." A rather needy looking camper with a great floorpan to recreate any way we wanted. They didn't have the keys that night so we had to go back the next evening. We settled on a price and brought him home. Has to be male right? I mean look at the color.<br />
We have done a ton of the "nasty work" pulling out the furniture that was basically destroyed. We are about to start on removing the water, propane and sewer lines to get the rest of the inside emptied out. I am pretty sure at this point my garbage men dislike me!<br />
I have named him Moon. He has a fancy longer name, but I will post that later after the remodel. It seems my husband has slacked off on remodeling Moon and has even asked me to post him for sale. ๐ณ๐ I get that he is "older" and he has been in a lot of pain from all the bending over and pulling out furniture and such...BUT we are almost done with the hard part. I did post him for sale-- but whether or not anyone buys him is a different story. Most people are afraid of projects like Moon. So I keep working on him each night. We planned on a one year time frame for the reno being just the two of us (not young) folks. We will see how it all works out! <br />
<br />
How We Found Him:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Xc78kyNtqKE/WYIkJWyhQ8I/AAAAAAAAKyE/fO3TpnQbAggd6bevnxe6oPt-BYeSbJqmgCLcBGAs/s1600/20170707_181040.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Xc78kyNtqKE/WYIkJWyhQ8I/AAAAAAAAKyE/fO3TpnQbAggd6bevnxe6oPt-BYeSbJqmgCLcBGAs/s320/20170707_181040.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

The paint is coming off with Citristrip Paint<br />
Stripper. It is actually easier than I thought. <br />
Right now I am concentrating on getting the hardware off the windows so I can pull them out.<br />
<br />
<br />
The bottom front of the camper will be replaced<br />
with Diamond Plate like I did on Star. Once the paint is stripped and then sanded we will decide on a color. Probably going to do something that matches the Jeep with a shiny finish. I am not a fan of this matte look.<br />
<br />
<br />
We had to use a car jack to get him on the car. Every camper I get has a broken jack!!<br />
<br />

The cabinets were all sticky and really dirty.<br />
The "Dinette" was cut down for them to add a wood stove.<br />
<br />
I am going to move the Dinette to the Front with all the<br />
windows and a nice U shaped seating area. The table will<br />
fold down to make a very large bed in the front for two<br />
adults. It will seat 6 adults to play games/cards when weather<br />
is crappy. <br />
<br />
Where the dinette is now will be a couch (gaucho bed) with<br />
overhead cabinets. This will function for seating and another<br />
bed. <br />
<br />
Changing the configuration will allow for a Flatscreen TV<br />
to be mounted and visible from couch and new dinette area.<br />
I am going to do a ceiling mount drop down/swivel. <br />
<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Bathroom: I am going to take the shower out. I really don't think I would ever shower in a camper. This will make the bathroom roomier and give me space to add a small closet for towels and toiletries. </div>

Peppermint Park We went to our first Vintage Rally! Peppermint Park, Plainfield, CT. Beautiful large camping sites, small family run campground. Nice clean pool. Had a great time and met some wonderful people. The weather was not the best, but not the worst it has been this year either. <br />
<br />
I don't have an awning yet <have to pay off the current repairs bill first>. Still trying to decide on material and colors also. It is such an overwhelming process to get the "perfect" awning! Isn't the Diamond Plate amazing! Changed out the side seams from black to white in the chrome. Love the bright white over the previous black!<br />

This Rally I went with the Elephant curtains and Bedspread....<br />
<br />
Original atomic star wall mount light was given a brand new socket and the crack repaired the best I could. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Of course vintage handmade tablecloth and matching cloth napkins. Vintage pyrex, Bean pots on windowsill...<br />

Love the Backsplash! (SpeedTiles Home Depot) Found the copper canisters at GoodWill. <br />
<br />
Love my cute little alarm clock. Painted it to match. Still so sad over the refrigerator. I'm just going to hold off this year and figure that out next year.<br />
<br />
Bernie is looking at a little larger camper this Friday (fingers crossed) but it needs a ton of work. The underbelly looks good--but they painted it <gasp> with house paint and did not do even a decent job. They painted the lights, the levels, gobs and gobs of paint all over it. So sad. JJewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11566012097158268720noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014721514225898.post-80126982337841139402017-06-10T23:51:00.000-04:002017-06-10T23:57:26.508-04:00She is Legal WOO HOO <br />
<br />
We are Finally Legal! The same lady that turned me away twice (rudely) and refused to help<br />
had to give me my tags Friday. <br />
<br />
Rhode Island has a few branches shut so I was at the DMV from 10 am till 5:30 pm! As she was waiting on my I answered her with yes m'am, no m'am. She is probably mid 20's and I know by the look on her face she was pissed I was calling her m'am (since we are not in the South where it is polite to say m'am). <br />
<br />
Just need to get the call from Paul that she is ready to roll! Fingers Crossed-- Peppermint Park will be out first destination for camping with the New England and Beyond Vintage Camping group. <br />
<br />
.......Oh and I thought this was a "next year" project. But Bernie said he would pay for the diamond plate! (Side seams are still off in this photo) Doesn't she look spiffy!!!<br />
<br />

And while she was back up in NH I dropped her off to have her roof and side seams sealed so she will be ready to venture out of my garage to her parking spot next to the house. <br />
<div>
So I got a pic from Big Daddy's with her new bumper! We had talked about having the old bumper removed and a new one attached. I want to be able to attach a hitch mount receiver on it so I can put a hitch mount bike rack or extension rack to carry items. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What a difference the new bumper makes! The old one was crumpled, crusty, rusty and very unattractive! They had attached "stabilizers" to the bumper. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'm getting down to the outside needing the front hitch sandblasted and rubber coated, front crumpled aluminum will be replaced with diamond plate and then a paint job--- but two of those are "next year" jobs.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Inside I need to decide if I am going to ever put the stove back in...If I do run propane lines I will add a catalytic heater at the same time. And I need to decide if I'm going to set up the water. I am leaning towards only setting up the water to work when attached to a hose. I don't feel the need to carry potable water. I do want to redo the closet wood and kitchen cabinets with the same wood I used on the inside of my door at some point. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>

The table is a little higher on left causing a hump. I will need to take off the wood bar and lower it. :)<br />

Isn't it so nice and cozy!! Not the easiest beds to make!! Need a TwinXL Matrress covwr. I bought a waterproof, padded twin.<br />
<br />
I also installed a backsplash this week, I had been holding off to find the "right" one. I came across the new Speed Tiles at Home Depot and fell in Love!! I haven't finished the decorative wood frame to go around it yet to pretty it up. So easy to install!!<br />

Always good to see Paul and Monica! He gets so excited over working on vintage campers. <br />
<br />
Lights look awesome!! Will post pics once home. He did such an amazing job.<br />
<br />
Got there and had a minor window leak from front window. He tried a "fix" will know when we get home as rain the whole way. ***Update-- window now leaks on both sides ๐๐<br />

<br />
The new double sway bar hitch is amazing!! Looks intimidating but, wow, what a difference. Star is rolling happy!!<br />
<br />
The fridge... <moment of silence> ...died. I refuse to give up on it. I will search out someone that still tinkers in the old.<br />

Camera! Action!Star is on her way to get her lights and a fancy sway bar hitch!! She is towing much better with the weight of the bed and cushions added back in! <br />
<br />
If you get a vintage camper just remember the furntiure is part of the integrity of the camper!! The people that gut and have them sitting dormant for garden houses do not need to worry. If you are camping and towing, you need all the cabinets, closet, dinette and bunk!!<br />
<br />
I was really hoping to get the back bumper changed out and the hitch and bumper powder coated...but money, money, money!!!<br />
<br />

I am so excited to finally start putting in some "homey" touches. I am at the beginning of the process but need to post some pictures because I am so excited. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Not sure why they post with wavy lines...<br /></td></tr>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These are my new cushions!! They look better in person. They are sunbrella fabric so they will last "forever." I am so in love! I wanted to make the cushions neutral so I can change the curtains with the holiday and seasons. The pillows in the pictures are two sided. Gray & white chevron on one side and teal on the other. I'm going to iron some camper slogans on the pillows to make them cozier. </div>

It is always exciting when you can see the "end." Although we all know you are never really "done" with a vintage camper as they always need tweaking. But I am close to being ready for the maiden camping voyage! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Repaired the crack in this window! <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Looking through the window to the bed. Used a pocket hole jig to make nice sturdy bed.<br />
Tons of support and great storage! (still in process here)<br />

Bed finished, side pieces for cell phones and such covered<br />
in fake leather for texture and looks. Anti-fatigue mats<br />
over the oak plywood for comfort and mattress protection.<br />

The door rebuilt! Foam insulated and a nice one-<br />
piece construction for aesthetics. Screening<br />
fresh !<br />

I made the elephant curtains, but I am also in the process of making vintage curtains. These are the fun curtains. <br />
<br />
The pink bedspread is from the 1950's and way to big~ a lot of tucking involved. The Elephant Curtains. I wanted to wait until I picked the upholstery for the cushions to make a decision for the "vintage curtains." I will start out this camping season with the Elephants. <br />
<br />
I found some AWESOME throw pillows to add some camper sayings too and also an Elephant pillow. <br />
<br />
I will drop off my 1950's bedspread I bought at the Antique Market this weekend to be cleaned in anticipation of the bed being done this week in the camper. I found some great vintage rose sheets a few weeks back at an estate sale!<br />
<br />
I have three wooden box plaques that I will be adding sayings to for decorations and some cool vintage items to hang on the wall. Everything is coming together nicely. <br />
<br />
Yes, I could paint the walls, and have a "Glamper" and everything would look fresh and new...but I want to work with the natural wood for a while before deciding to paint over it all. I would like to retain the 1960's charm. I love the way the inside "glows" when inside at night with the light lit. <br />
I have picked out the material and paid half for the dining cushions. They are due to be done by the end of April.<br />

I put the foam in the door today and cut the new door panel out. <br />

<br />
<br />
I am also sanding all of the window sills. Not sure if I will stain or leave raw for the time being. I really like the look of the raw wood. Maybe a nice coat of Poly to protect the wood!<br />

I need the rubber moulding which is on order still along with a clutch head bit to remove the antiquated hardware on the existing bed frame. My window dots came in along with the new window weather stripping. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;">My sign is coming along, varnished and now drying. Can't wait to add the lights. I will hang a wooden lit up arrow with (No) Vacancy by chain under this sign.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;"> My daughter wanted me to make the banner shape sideways to be different.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Once the camper is repainted to the right of the front door she will say: "A Thousand Stars in the Sky, But this one is Mine. " A tribute to Kathy Young and the Innocents' song that has been in heart since I was a child. It brings me back to being 7-10 years old living in Md and listening to my Mom and Dad's records. She was only 15 when she recorded that song, 5 years before I was born. I have loved anything to do with stars & moons ever since. Probably why I love camping and staring at the stars at night. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;"> I don't know about you, but when I get a Michael's 60% off Coupon I have to see what I can get with it! I love a bargain. I've had my eye on one of these cute little light boxes for a while now. Inspirational messages and dinner menus while camping. LOL who am I kidding...I don't cook!! We will stick with inspirational & funny messages. </span><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"> ๐๐๐</span><br />

Curtains always baffle me. I found two 84" sets today that I can cut to make curtains for the camper. The Elephant curtains are cute and whimsical, while the other are playful and pretty. I bought the Elephant curtains and once I practice making curtains with these I might go back for the others. I want to be able to change out curtains and decor throughout the year. Why not right? The fun is decorating. </span><span style="font-family: inherit;"> </span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EMBsTSJx91Y/WX9HQ3s8KoI/AAAAAAAAKuI/6da434d6_mo9IibpTgk77377OYqiCCCGACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/20170122_155118_zps1trpt3uh.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EMBsTSJx91Y/WX9HQ3s8KoI/AAAAAAAAKuI/6da434d6_mo9IibpTgk77377OYqiCCCGACK4BGAYYCw/s320/20170122_155118_zps1trpt3uh.JPG" width="320" /></a></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I finally got all of the window frames out of the camper, removed all the screens and pulled out all of the staples.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I took the inside portion of the door apart today to see what I was dealing with. I will sturdy up the door by gluing a nice fresh piece of wood into the bottom portion of the door and nailing small pieces of wood into the door frame to keep it stable. I am going to add insulation and cover the entire inside of the door with one continuous piece of luan using the 3 existing pieces as templates. I want a nice clean seamless look when you open the door. Most of the time while I am camping I have the door open for easy in and out.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Next step will be to sand all of the window frames. I cracked a couple removing them until I perfected my technique of using a scraper to go between the frame and the wall and pull gently to loosen the nails. I used wood glue on those and taped them to keep tight. I think I might put them back on using small screws rather than nails for easier removal.</span><br />

Not the photo I was hoping to set up and take, but a quick little dress up. By Fall I will have an awesome photo for a Christmas Card. I love old fashioned C7 and C9 bulbs. These are C7's with the clear bulbs. I am looking for C9 ceramic bulbs. I have a strand from when I was a kid, but many of the bulbs need replaced. </span><br />
